Areas of Focus
Guided Hearts Therapy supports adults navigating a range of life challenges. Each area below represents work this practice is specifically designed to address.
Anxiety and Depression
Living with anxiety, depression, or constant stress can make even simple things feel heavy. Therapy provides a space to process what you are carrying, identify triggers, and build healthier ways of coping. Individual therapy can help you feel more in control, steady, and supported.
Women's Issues and Postpartum Support
Adjusting to motherhood and navigating life's demands can bring both meaningful moments and emotional challenges. You may be managing postpartum anxiety or depression, balancing work and family, or trying to find yourself while meeting the needs of others. At the same time, you might be facing stress, relationship strain, or a sense of pressure that feels hard to carry alone. In therapy, you will have a supportive space to process these experiences, build coping strategies, and better understand what you need in order to feel more grounded. Through individual therapy, the focus is on helping you strengthen emotional well being, improve resilience, and move forward with greater clarity and confidence in your daily life.
Couples Therapy
Are you and your partner at a crossroads? This may include those navigating a significant breach of trust, a season that has tested everything, or the slow drift that happens when two people stop really seeing each other. You are not failing! You are stuck, and this can change.
Self-Esteem and Personal Growth
You may be feeling stuck, uncertain about your direction, or wanting to grow into a stronger and more confident version of yourself. Personal challenges, including self worth concerns, patterns that keep repeating, or the impact of relationship changes such as the end of a partnership, friendship, or family connection, can all play a role in how you see yourself and move through life. Therapy offers a space to explore what is holding you back, better understand your thoughts and behaviors, and build healthier ways of coping. As you develop greater self awareness, you can begin to feel more grounded, make decisions with clarity, and create meaningful and lasting change in your personal growth.
Common Questions
Answers to what most people wonder before reaching out.
Is therapy self-pay only? Do you accept insurance?
For individual therapy, you can check whether your plan may offer out-of-network reimbursement at eligibility.thrizer.com/guidedheartstherapy.
Couples counseling is self-pay only. Insurance-based therapy often requires a formal diagnosis, comes with session caps, and limits how treatment is structured. Self-pay means your care is built entirely around your relationship or your goals, on your timeline, without an insurance company shaping what is or isn't covered.
How does telehealth work? Do I need special equipment?
All sessions are conducted via secure, HIPAA-compliant video. You'll need a smartphone, tablet, or computer with a working camera and microphone, and a private space where you feel comfortable talking. No special software download is required. Most clients find the online format easier to fit into their schedules — no commute, no waiting room. What happens in the first session?
The first session is a chance to share what's brought you in and what you're hoping to get from therapy. There's no pressure to have everything figured out. The goal is to start building a clear picture of your situation so we can map out a direction that actually fits. For couples, both partners are welcome to share their perspective from the start.Do both partners have to attend every couples session?
In general, yes — couples therapy is most effective when both partners are present and engaged. Occasional individual sessions may be incorporated when it serves the couple's work, but the primary focus is the relationship, which means both people are typically in the room. How do I know if I'm ready for therapy right now?
If you're here reading this, that's a meaningful signal. You don't have to be in crisis to deserve support. If something feels off — in your relationship, in how you're coping, in how you see yourself — that's enough of a reason. A free 10-minute consultation is available to help you figure out if this is the right fit before committing to anything.
Ready to Take the Next Step?
Whether you're ready to book a consultation or still have questions, reaching out is the first move. Consultations are free, 10 minutes, and low-pressure — just a conversation to see if we're the right fit.
